Bohemian Football Club has been a fan-owned football club since its establishment in 1890. We have a long history of active citizenship and a culture of working collectively with our local community to enhance our shared wellbeing. We are now working with community partners, local businesses, and some big institutions from Dublin 7 and beyond to bring that cooperative spirit to local climate action for a just future.
Through the Spark, we will run an afterschool programme for younger kids and a green skills programme for adults to empower our community to collaborate through climate action. We will bring training in climate action to the people serving time in Mountjoy Prison. We will establish a Libarary of Things and a Bike Library. We will host repair cafés and intergenerational dialogues. Ultimately, we will develop the articles of association of a new climate cooperative to be launched in November 2025.
